Education and Early Childhood Development

ACM is committed to nurturing the potential of every child through quality education and early childhood care. We support Community-Based Childcare Centres (CBCCs) by training caregivers, improving learning environments, and promoting school readiness.

Child Health and Nutrition

We promote inclusive, values-based education by supporting schools, providing bursaries, and building local capacity. ACM empowers learners, especially in underserved communities, to reach their full potential.

Livelihoods and Economic Empowerment

We support households with vocational skills, savings groups, and small business development, helping communities—especially women and youth—build lasting economic resilience.

Climate Change and  Environment

ACM promotes environmental stewardship through reforestation, climate-smart farming, and community awareness, helping people adapt to climate challenges and protect God’s creation..

Disaster Management and Emergency Response

ACM delivers timely aid during floods, droughts, and crises, while helping communities prepare, respond, and recover through faith-led resilience and humanitarian support.

Why are we unique

Faith Based approach

At ACM, we believe that lasting change is rooted in faith. Our programs are guided by Christian values, engaging churches and faith leaders to inspire hope, promote justice, and mobilize communities toward compassionate action.

Hard to reach Areas

ACM prioritizes underserved and remote communities, ensuring that essential services reach the most isolated. We work hand-in-hand with local leaders to overcome barriers and bring education, health, and development to where it’s needed most.

Inclusive community /Gender  responsive

Our approach is grounded in inclusion. ACM works to ensure that every person regardless of age, gender, ability, or background is valued, heard, and actively involved in building resilient and thriving communities

Our Reach

The Anglican Council in Malawi (ACM) operates in all 29 districts of Malawi, using the established structures of the Anglican Church — including parishes, priests, church guilds, and field officers — to reach communities with meaningful and transformative support.
Through these grassroots networks, ACM implements a range of community-based projects aimed at improving the quality of life for all, especially the most vulnerable. Our work focuses on key thematic areas such as child health and nutrition, early childhood development, economic empowerment, livelihoods, climate change adaptation, and disaster relief and resilience. We also address gender justice, peacebuilding, and access to clean water and sanitation, all rooted in the Church’s mission to serve with compassion, dignity, and justice.
With a presence deeply embedded in very hard to reach local communities, ACM is committed to creating lasting impact and fostering sustainable development throughout Malawi.
